Holders Report

The first General Store was owned by Thompson and Francis with Frank Mc Namara as Manager and George Allen as his assistant. It is now known as the Corner Store. When Nestle purchased the Condensery in 1907 the business grew and larger premises were needed so they moved the smaller building to the corner and built the current premises which opened in 1909. Today it is owned by the Esk District Co-operative Ltd and serves the community in a similar way as super market and hardware outlet.
